Antibiotics such as Macrobid, Cephalexin or Bactrim can help confirmed kidney infections. In severe cases leading to fever and or sepsis, IV antibiotics such as Ceftriaxone or Fluroquinolones will be indicated.

You will require antibiotics based on your Urine/Blood culture result to treat the kidney infection completely.
