There are many meds indicated for depression treatment and some people respond to a single meds from a group of SSRI, SNRI, and meds working on dopamine. Some people go thru different meds before they find the right one, some people need combination of 2 antidepressants or augmentation with different class of meds depending on the patients symptoms
