Scoliosis is a condition that Chiropractic really can help with to a degree that other treatment methodologies cannot. Depending on the age of the patient when the condition is found makes a tremendous difference in the outcome. It is so important that in the state of Florida where I practice screening for this is mandatory in the school system by state law. Chiropractic care emphasizes a structural correction combined with home exercise program to address this. The best results and largest corrections can occur if the patient comes in for treatment before the spine is finished growing and maturing. Even with a mature spine the progression can be slowed significantly and symptoms improved.
