Alcohol in moderation is not a problem after a root canal

You can drink alcohol immediately after the numbness wears off unless you are on antibiotics or were sedated at the time of the procedure. If you were sedated, follow the instructions given by your doctor. If you are on antibiotics do not consume alcohol until you complete the course of antibiotics.

Usually, any time, but check with your dentist, especially if you are given pain meds, etc. Good Luck
