• When can I use different mouthwashes after wisdom tooth removal?

I had my bottom two wisdom teeth out 10 days ago and was advised to use prescription mouthwash for 10 days. When can I use different mouthwashes? Also, when can I start to drink hot drinks?

It all depends on the extent of the surgery . You should consult with the dentist who performed the surgery. Thanks

After the 10 days. You can have hot drinks now

It is usually not a good idea to use a strong anti-bacterial or peroxide mouth rinse after wisdom tooth extraction. However, a warm salty mouthwash would be appropriate. Ask your dentist and be guided by their advice

You are probably safe to use a different mouthwash now. Continue to try and avoid alcohol-containing mouthwashes as they tend to dry the gum tissue.

Hot drinks - next day. About mouthwash, do what the Dr. told you.
