I have bad upper abdominal pain. When should I go to the ER for upper abdominal pain?

You should go to the ER if you have an emergency: e.g. severe pain that is incapacitating; if you are unable to take fluids and are at risk of dehydration; having fever, weakness and cannot take care of yourself.
