Alternating Motrin every 6-8 hours and Tylenol every 4-6 hours at first seems to be the most effective. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water and fluids as well!

I'd use Nyquil, but if your having trouble bringing up mucus and your gagging on it, Mucinex works Luke a charm, and if you have a nagging cough, I suggest Delsome....it's more expensive, but it works. (12 hour doseages) hope I helped
