I got a heart stent a week ago. I still have chest pain. Is it normal? What should I do?

Please, go to see your cardiologist as soon as possible. You need a new EKG and cardiac enzymes to be repeated.

After stent placement you can develop inflammation of the heart sac called pericardium which can cause chest pain. However if you are experiencing similar chest pain as before the stent you need to contact your cardiologist immediately.

Might still have obstruction to flow. Please see your doctor.

You can have some chest pain after a stent in particular the first few days. You should talk with your cardiologist about it.
