• Why do you get bloody diarrhea after drinking alcohol?

I drink alcohol too much. Every time I drink alcohol I get bloody diarrhea. Is it normal? What should I do?

Bloody diarrhea is very concerning. You should see your gastroenterologist right away. For severe bleeding, go to the nearest emergency room.

This is not a normal response to drinking alcohol. Please make an appointment to see your physician for a thorough evaluation.

Stop drinking. You may have a major problem. Go to a doctor. Or Er. This is serious. Get your liver checked. Do not ignore this.

No it's not normal to ever have bloody diarrhea. I am unaware of any condition in which alcohol would cause bloody stools, though. In some people, alcohol can cause diarrhea, but not the bleeding.
A colonoscopy is best to try to find out the origin of the bleeding.
