We just found out that our 10 moth old baby has an enlarged kidney, 10 x 6 x 8 cm in size. We were told that it is possible to be wilms tumor. Is this conclusive or are there disease similar to enlargement of kidneys? If this is wilms tumor, what are the treatments we can expect? Thank you.
Good evening - my suggestion is to discuss with a pediatric surgeon and/or pediatric urologist who works closely with a pediatric oncologist to establish the true diagnosis. Surgery and chemotherapy are needed if confirmed, depending on the stage (localized or extended).
Best Regards and keep hope
