• Are kidney transplants eventually required for lupus?

My mom has lupus and the disease has really affected her kidney negatively. Her doctor thinks that if her condition worsens, she's going to need a transplant soon. I understand that this is a very common complication in many lupus cases. Do all lupus cases eventually require a kidney transplant?
