My 9 year old daughter might have an inflamed appendix. Our doctor recommended a CT scan for her. Can a 9 year old have a CT scan?

Yes. This is a common procedure even on younger children to rule out appendicitis. It does have a significant amount of radiation and should not be done repetitively unless necessary.
