• Can fairness creams cause cancer?

I have been following a few articles about fairness creams and their actual impact on the skin. A number of articles have suggested that long term use of fairness creams can actually result in cancer. Is there any truth in these reports?

Fairness creams are also known as lightening creams. They work by reducing a pigment called melanin in the skin. There are different compositions of them and depending on which country they come from, some are FDA cleared and others not. Potential carcinogens always depend on the ingredients. There are no set guidelines to these creams from outside the country.

What type of fairness cream causes cancer? Drinking water is good, but too much can kill, too. Best thing to do is to consult your dermatologist. Balance use of medicine, cream and drinking water will not kill anyone unless that thing or medicine comes from improper sources. Excessive use of anything will surely be detrimental to health.
