Some Optometrists can perform Botox treatments but this depends on the state.

Only in a couple of states optometrists can.

I recommend going to a plastic surgeon or oculoplastics ophthalmologist. Someone who does Botox regularly. I have had patients get double vision after Botox. You don’t want that.

In California optometrists are not allowed to give injections for Botox. I would definitely see someone who is familiar with the face muscles, like a periodontist or a oral surgeon, who is good at administering Botox and is familiar with the face muscles

Unfortunately, optometrists in Virginia cannot perform Botox procedures at this time. You should see an oculoplastics ophthalmologist to have this done.
