I am a 49 year old female. I was diagnosed with heart irregularities. Can you die from a heart attack?

Definitely. Heart attack is due to occlusion of a blood vessel that supplies the heart muscle. If the heart damage is smaller in size, patient will recover with minimal complication. If the damage is a larger size or if it involves the crucial area of the heart, the patient can have cardiac arrest, hole in the heart muscle, or rupture of the heart muscle or delayed complication like CHF, etc.
