• What are the chances that my polyps could be cancer?

I have been diagnosed with polyps in my colon, and I am anxiously awaiting the results from my biopsy. What are the chances that it could be a cancer?

Only a small percentage of colon polyps are found to be cancerous. The larger they are, the more the percentage goes up. Also, the type matters as well, adenomatous vs. villous, with villous being more likely to have a cancer.

Unfortunately you need to wait for the biopsy results.
