How should we deal with cancer in an elderly person?
My father is 80 years old and has recently been diagnosed with a growing cancer in his stomach. He is too weak to take the treatment. What should we do now?

Pain medicine, love, and be close to him all the time.
Discuss with the patient's oncologist what his prognosis is based on cancer stage and type. Once you have those answers, have a discussion with your father on what his goals are, whether he would like to increase his life expectancy at all costs by receiving all available treatments, or live a comfortable, quality life without procedures or hospitalizations.
