I am a 62 year old woman (I am Bipolar and take Lamictal, Clonzepam and Trazadone for sleep) who was exposed to lead paint in my apt after my landlord insisted on painting my apt while I was still in it on Dec 10th of this year. I had nowhere to go and she didn't provide a hotel. I breathed in toxic dust for three days. My apt has had ceiling damage for the last 4 years but she refused to fix it. There were constant chips and dust everywhere.
Am I in danger? Do I need to get a blood test?
ONLY IF YOU ARE SYMPTOMATIC. IF THE PAINT WAS RECENT IT SHOULD NOT HAVE LEAD IN IT. IT'S THE OLDER PAINTS THAT HAVE LEAD
Need a blood level. This will determine if treatment is needed
Likely non emergent. Your primary physician could draw a lead titer if you have a concern.
