• Do antidepressants cause memory loss?

I'm 32 years old and I am taking medication for depression. I've been taking the same medication for about 8 months, and I've noticed that my memory is a little bad. Do antidepressants cause memory loss?

A minority of patients can develop cognitive effects over time. This may be due to a single antidepressant. In my practice, I will usually switch to a different antidepressant when the benefits have been substantial.
