• Do I need a brace to correct my scoliosis?

I've had scoliosis since I was a kid and it hasn't gone away. How can I treat it? Do I need a brace to treat this?

Depending on the causes and severity of your scoliosis, a brace may prevent it from getting worse. To improve the curve, more active treatments will be more effective. Osteopathic Treatment can help balance tensions in the muscles and joints affected, and specialized Physical Therapy may help strengthen your own core muscles to strengthen and straighten your spine from the inside.

Scoliois is only treated with a brace if it is quite severe and you are symptomatic. Treatment with PT, chiropractics and surgery is best.
