I was diagnosed with lactose intolerance, officially, last year (I was self diagnosed with lactose intolerance for three years). Though I really can't consume it, I love eating cheese and ice cream. I want there to be a way for me to consume dairy products, without the pain and nausea afterward. I would like to know, do lactate tablets work for people who are lactose intolerant? Do you recommend them?
The enzyme lactase breaks down the sugar lactose in milk. Yes, taking lactase tablets will help reduce symptoms related to malabsorption of lactose.
Find a local farmer who is willing to sell you raw milk. Use that cream from that raw milk to make your own ice cream and cheese.
