We work is many industries such as healthcare, military, public health, government, criminal justice, legal, and corporate to name a few. Contrary to popular belief social work can be quite lucrative. Different BSW, MSW, and DSW/PhD programs specialize but as long as they are accredited, you can practice just about anywhere in the US and abroad.

Social workers are licensed for the state they are currently residing in. If a SW moves to another state, they must be licensed in that state to work.
