• Do they put you to sleep for dental implants?

I am a 47 year old male. I want to know if they put you to sleep for dental implants?

They don't have to administer any anesthesia for the placement for dental implants. The surgeon will numb the area where the implant will be placed, but as far as "sleeping", that is up to you.

Hope this helps,

Usually is not necessary. Process is simpler than a tooth being pulled. But going to sleep is an option with some offices, but can be quite expensive

Most Oral surgeons offer that. Some General Dental Offices may as well. Check with your clinician.

Not necessarily by choice.

Hi there!

That’s definitely possible with your surgeon. Just ask during your consultation.

Some doctors will put you to sleep if you desire it, but many people have dental implants done without being put to sleep.

Most surgeons will put you to sleep, as the procedure can be painless, but nerve racking. But it can be done under local anesthetic.
