When should I take my son to the doctor for a cough?
My son has had a lingering cough for about a week and a half now. He feels good otherwise, but continues to have a cough. When should I start to worry? When should I take him to the doctor?

Worry if cough is phlegm and wheezy

If his only symptom is just the cough, you can monitor at home and give cough medicines. If you notice it is getting worse, you should make an appointment with his pediatric or primary care physician.
