Does periodontal treatment hurt?
I have an ongoing infection in my gums, and I'm being referred to a periodontist for treatment. My dentist told me that the treatment would start immediately once my periodontist diagnoses the issue. My question is, will the treatment hurt?

If done improperly, yes it can be uncomfortable. Infections should always be treated before beginning any procedures
