Yes. If you receive treatment to the pelvis.
Radiation therapy aimed at the pelvis will cause sterility. It would take approximately 120 CT scans of the pelvis to cause sterility.
If the patient's ovaries are inside the radiation field, radiation therapy (RT) can affect fertility. In this case, we usually recommend patient freeze eggs prior to initiation of RT.
