How are colon polyps treated?

I am a 53 year old male. After my colonoscopy I was diagnosed with benign polyps. How are colon polyps treated?

They are removed during colonoscopy by excision biopsy, snare cautery or electrocoagulation.

There is no treatment. You just need to have your follow up colonoscopies and have them removed if discovered.
