• How can the common cold affect congestive heart failure?

I'm 40 years old with a pacemaker. I also take BP medications to regulate my blood pressure. But I had several colds this season, and I'm wondering, does the common cold affect my congestive heart failure anyway?

It usually has no effect, but if the cold becomes infected, colored sputum, then you may need antibiotics.
