• How do dentists remove crowns?

I am a 39 year old female. I want to know how do dentists remove crowns?

I prefer to cut them off to prevent damaging the tooth!

It’s very simple they make a slit through the crown in the center take an instrument and spread the 2 halves which breaks the cement bond and a crown will popp off

Most dentists have some sort of crown removing device, however, it doesn’t always work without some damage to the crown and we certainly don’t want to harm your tooth. Most crowns, once cemented, don’t come off easily on purpose. Most often, to remove a crown, the dentist will make some small slits up the side and use a tool to leverage it away from the tooth.
