• How do I approach my son about his eating disorder?

I believe my 12 year old son has a binge-eating disorder, and this started after he tried out for the wrestling team. I think he's doing this to bulk up... How do I approach my son about his eating disorder?

Ask him to talk to older wrestlers if any of them struggled with eating problems.

Most children will give you a straight answer if you ask it directly. Would be careful not to label this as a disorder so soon. If he is trying to get on the team, this is reasonable.
Then gentle does or donts about achieving a reasonable goal. This would clarify what is going on. Good luck!

Yes wrestling will do that. It’s all about being in a certain weight class. He will be fine. He has to or not be on any team. Let him get it out of his system, that’s all
