How do I know if I'm a carrier of a muscular dystrophy gene?
I have Duchenne muscular dystrophy in my family, and I want to know if I have the gene in case I have kids of my own. Are there ways to figure out if I'm a carrier? Like genetic tests?

Yes, there are genetic tests, but first the affected family member(s) must undergo the tests and then the investigation can be expanded to the other members of the family.
