• How do I regain my sense of smell?

I'm 32 with seasonal allergies. I have been taking antihistamines and using a nasal steroid. My nasal passages seem clear, but I don't really have any sense of smell. What can I do for this?

anosmia can be evaluated with an UPSIT scratch and sniff test. this will quantify your level of anosmia.
Nasal steroid spray and Nasal antihistamine spray (astelin) when used daily are best to control allergic rhinitis symptoms, vs nasal steroid or oral antihistamines alone.

Get a CT scan of your nose and sinuses see what's blocking air from getting to olfactory area, where sense of smell is located

If you can taste, there is probably some residual sense of smell still present. See ENT surgeon to check for polyps, infection, medical/surgical options, short curse of prednisone. Can get desensitized with shots or sublingual medications. May be able recover a bit.
