• How is sleep apnea diagnosed in children?

My daughter has been snoring so loudly and sometimes I can hear her choke throughout the night. I think it could be sleep apnea, since I recognize the symptoms from my father. But I'm not 100% sure. I'm taking her to the doctor later this week, but how is sleep apnea usually diagnosed in children?

She will need a sleep study in a sleep center to diagnose her.

You can do a sleep study but first make sure tonsils and adenoids are not blocking the airway. This is treated with removal of tonsils and adenoids instead of cpap like adults
