While sunglasses do provide some barrier from foreign bodies/particles, they're mostly there to help with glare in the immediate post-op period. That being said, generally you only need to wear your sunglasses until that glare dissipates. If you are still suffering from significant glare or other symptoms after some time, I would advise to make another appointment with your LASIK surgeon to discuss possible causes and/or remedies. Finally, as always, take all of your post-op medications as directed and return for all of your post-op visits with your surgeon.
Hope this helped.

Take care and have a good day,

Usually for 4 weeks when out in direct sunlight

It depends on the amount of surgical correction performed and the technique the surgeon used. Please contact your surgeon.
