I am a 42 year old woman. I will see a psychologist next week. How long does a psychologist appointment last?

In general an initial appointment can last one hour or longer. Follow up appointments can last 45 minutes to one hour.

Usually 1–2 hours because it’s evaluation. One should see a psychiatrist or psychologist after a complete medical internist work up. After that, one hour, which agreed on by mental health workers between 50–60 minuets. Occasionally some patient need more time because of need rather than OCD patient which they want to be in control!
