I am a 40 year old male who will have jaw surgery next week. How long does it take to heal from jaw surgery?

That depends on the kind of jaw surgery you are having done. If it is orthognathic, or jaw repositioning surgery, I would tell my patients to plan on taking 2 weeks off, although you will be feeling like back to normal during the second week.
