• How long does a knee replacement surgery take?

I'm 50, and I'm going to have a knee replacement next month. Is this a long surgery? How long would it take?

An hour or so.

The average surgical time is 90 minutes.
That is the time from the incision until the bandage is on. You may be in the operating room for a longer period of time. 60 minutes is around the average of the “shortest” time and 120 minutes would be around the “longest” time.

It depends on the skills of the surgeon and the surgical team. It can take from 40 minutes to one and a half hours.
