How many types of anesthesia exist?
I'm supposed to get surgery soon, but I heard that there are multiple types of anesthesia that exist. Can you explain them to me?

There are multiple types: general anesthesia and regional anesthesia are the 2 most common types. It largely depends on the procedure you are having as to which type will be recommended. I would speak to your anesthesiologist and surgeon regarding your options that are available to you at your facility and that they are comfortable performing.
