How much schooling is required for a massage therapist?
I am a 19 year old female who wants to be a massage therapist. What type of training or schooling is required?

A minimum of 500 hrs
Your County and State will define what is required for licensing where you live/work. Schools in the area will know those requirements and be able to help you establish a curriculum to meet them.

1 yr to 2 yrs depending on the state and the school. It requires at least 500 contact hours.
Schools can be as short as 9 months or as long as 2 years. You will need to decide which route is best for you. Check into schools in your area and speak with their career counselor, they will be happy to guide you.
The initial training is about a year and then after a year you’ll need continuing education to keep your license. To answer your question... if your a massage therapist you will always be in training.
