• I have had pluracy for about a month after being exposed to second-hand smoke?

I have pain in my shoulder blades that alternate sometimes, tightness in chest weak muscles and stiff neck tendency to clear the throat frequently with a small amount of fluid coming up. I was diagnosed with Gerd 2 years ago. This developed quickly after a very short mild cold for 2-4 days.

Pleurisy can be bilateral due to blunt chest trauma , but unilateral adds more possible causes . One month demands an extensive workup including biopsies , under local , if not diagnostic , open biopsy . If the pleurisy is infectious , the caustive germ couldve been inhaled by others .

Exposure to secondhand smoke does not in and of itself cause pleurisy
