I have read that anesthesia can help with end of life care. Is anesthesia important for hospice care?
I wonder why he said so, is he/she an anesthesiologist? They are well sedated by their doctors.
I believe it could improve the quality of life of those with terminal illness and relieve their pain.
It may help with easing the pain, fear and anxiety that comes with the loneliness and unknown towards the end of life. I will tell you what really helps all mankind in times of pain and loneliness is to be surrounded by people who love! Faith and hope are real emotions and anesthesia may help people clear their minds to focus on what is important to each individual.
That would not usually be appropriate unless surgery was needed.
