Is an arthrogram painful?
I'm going to have an arthrogram for my shoulder, and I know that I'm injected with some kind of contrast. Is it painful?

Shoulder arthrograms probably are the most painful, but I just use a 25 gauge needle, which is tiny. Most of my arthrogram patients are teenagers and they don't complain of much pain at all. You will do fine.
