Is a bronchoscopy done under general anesthesia?

I'm 37 years old, and I'm going to have a bronchoscopy next week. I'm really nervous. Is a bronchoscopy done under general anesthesia?

Sometimes. At a minimum, sedation with local anesthetic to numb your mouth and airways.
