Can genital hsv1 be transmitted through male semen? Theres alot of conflicting info online and im finding it hard to find out the truth.

Transmission of HSV usually occurs through close contact with a person who is shedding virus at a mucosal or epithelial surface, or in genital or oral secretions. Sexual transmission of HSV-1 can occur through genital-to-genital, oral-to-genital, genital-to-oral, anal-to-genital, and genital-to-anal contact.
