My 9 year old daughter has heat rash. What causes this? Is heat rash serious?

The rashes are not series. They are usually caused by irritation due to closed sweat glands.
No usually it is on the abdomen or underarms when your body stays hot and sweaty. Try to keep cool and dry. Wicking fabrics help draw the sweat away from the body and can be helpful.
