Is ice cream good after tonsil removal?
My daughter is getting her tonsils removed and we are trying to figure out the best way for her to recover. Is ice cream good to have after a tonsillectomy?

Take the pain medication as prescribed. Ice cream is good because it is soothing to the throat, reduces swelling, and is definitely a comfort food and that there is nutrition provided as well as topical pain controlled by the coldNess of the ice cream. Avoid nuts or fruits in the Ice cream.
