Is low ferritin related to breathing problems?
I recently had routine blood work done, and my doctor saw that my ferritin level was low. He thinks that this has something to with my shortness of breath. Is a low level of ferritin related to breathing problems? I'm 45 years old.

Iron deficiency can cause anemia, which reduces the blood’s ability to carry oxygen to where it is needed. Ask your doctor what tests and/or treatments are needed now.
