It seems like I am getting a urinary tract infection at least every month. Is there a reason this keeps happening?
History is important:
- Age
- Sex
- Marital status
How you describe your symptoms: frequency, dysuria, urination at night, urgency, etc.
Most common cause of recurrent urinary tract infections in an older woman is lack of vaginal estrogen.
Replacing vaginal estrogen resolves many of symptoms.
The other issue though is misdiagnosed .... urgency and frequency is not always a urinary tract infection rather urgency frequency syndrome.
There is a problem if that is happening to you. You need a full urologic evaluation.
