I have been living with bladder incontinence ever since my delivery. I am told that kegel exercise is very helpful in treating this condition. How exactly does it help?
They strengthen your pelvic floor muscles, which support your bladder. When these muscles are weak, you're more likely to have leaks
Kegel exercises are thought to strengthen pelvic floor muscles which in turn may help with bladder control (the bladder sits in the pelvis). These exercises are best done under supervision of a trained and experienced physical therapist who specializes in pelvic floor muscle therapy (PFMT). If the exercises do not work, then a visit to the urologist or uro-gynecologist may be helpful.
It helps support the muscles that are weakened and stretched from vaginal births.
