• Knee replacement?

I have had 2 knee replacements, it’s been 9 months since the surgery. Why are my knees still hurting every day?

It’s often inflammation and aching. Continue NSAID’s and provide compression. Your expectations may be out of proportion. Wait it out.

It is not unusual to have soft tissue pain, swelling, stiffness for up to a year or more after surgery. Everyone is different. The pain should be relatively mild compared to before surgery and should be a different type of pain.
Make sure you follow up with your surgeon to answer your questions ASAP!!!

It should be improving. If pain is not improving or worsening you need to contact your surgeon.

Recovery after knee replacement is a long process. It's two step forward and one step back. It takes sometimes almost a year to feel better. But pain after knee replacement should be evaluated to rule out infection, loosening, instability or scar tissue and stiffness. Make sure to see your surgeon on a regular basis.
Thanks.
